Turn off the JHB-DBN (N3) highway (20km past Pietermaritzburg, towards JHB) at the Southern Drakensberg/Underberg sign.
Follow road (R617) for 110km to Underberg. Pass straight through Underberg and travel for a further 3km. Cross over the Umzimkulu River and 500m further on turn right at Bushman's Nek sign. Drive for 2km and turn right at the D199 sign, go for 500m and turn right at Clearbrook Cottage sign.
For Heronwood House ignore Clearbrook Cottage sign and drive for 2km further along the D199. Turn left into driveway marked Riverlea/Flemington and take left fork.
